Brian Curtis was commissioned by Yamaha to design a frame for there fledgling HL500 project, with the view to manufacturing the complete production. Only 3 bikes were made, this bike is believed to be the last survivor and the number 3 bike. The design and project was given the go ahead but ultimately the contract was given to the then still operating NVT. Only approx 200 original Yamaha HL were ever built before the plug was pulled … this little beauty is the grandfather of them all.
This bike is in excellent condition and has come from a German collection and stored in heated premises. A great collectors bike.
